Permanently remove your LedgeKar account and the data tied to it.
You can delete your LedgeKar account at any time. This page tells you what will happen, what gets removed, and what we keep for legal or accounting reasons. To start the deletion, sign in and click the button below.

- Your profile (name, email, phone, UPI VPA, password hash, passkeys)
- All expenses you created
- All settlements where you were the payer
- All savings goals and bank/wallet/card accounts you added
- Your group memberships
- Your subscription record (active subscription is cancelled before deletion)
- Push notification tokens and session cookies
- All audit log rows tied to your user ID
Hard deletion completes within 30 days. After 30 days, no row in the production database references your account.
What we keep, and why
- Shared expenses with other users:if you created an expense that other group members participated in, the expense row is preserved so their balance history stays correct. Your name is replaced with “Removed user” and your email and phone are scrubbed.
- Settlement records you are a counterparty to: same anonymisation. Your identity is removed, the amount is kept so the other party’s ledger remains balanced.
- Tax-relevant records: invoices and GST receipts for paid subscriptions are retained for 7 years as required by Indian tax law.
- Anonymised crash logs: Sentry events keyed by an internal install ID, not your account ID, may survive deletion.
Can’t sign in?
If you have lost access to your email, can’t complete passkey sign-in, or your account was created via an invitation and you never set a password, email [email protected] from the same address that is on the account. We verify your identity and delete on your behalf within 7 working days.
This is permanent
Deletion is irreversible. We do not keep a soft-delete copy that we can restore from. If you only want to pause notifications, change your plan, or cancel your subscription without losing your history, do that from Settings instead.
